The Sun Will Rise Again

Well here it is Sunday, and I have not written a thing. I don’t know, it has been quite a week for the world. Heck, it has been a trying year for the world in general for the first three months of the year. Personally, watching the tragedy unfold in Japan has left me feeling pretty down for all the trauma that is going on there. Here I am, thousands of miles away, and powerless to do much to be of real help.
Then I saw this amazing photograph, which instantly brought to mind the phrase I titled this post with “The Sun Will Rise Again”. This photo was another amazing masterpiece shot by astronaut, Douglas Wheelock aboard the international space station. His superb eye caught this shot, and I think it very much fits the feeling I wanted to convey today. That feeling is that out of the darkness, light will shine again.

This is why I’m a Christian. Because if we don’t have hope like that for the future, what do we have, and what is the point of living?
