Who’s Mike?

Well that’s a really good question.  When I started this blog, I posted up your standard generic ‘about me’ that just had a bunch of adjectives in one long sentence.  To me that really doesn’t give you a good impression of who I am.  So let’s see if I can give you a little better impression of who you are dealing with here.

First and foremost, I am a family man.  I know it sounds like a cliché, but I have a very loving wife and three wonderful kids.  Look I’m even showing all of us off here on the left.  I’m only glad the camera didn’t get broken because they let me be in the picture too.  They give me inspiration every single day I am here in this world.

In my basic bio I usually start of by telling people that I am a guy in my 40′s that has bummed around the net for years.  This is true.  I’ve been an internet junkie since the early 90′s.  I’ve seen a lot of changes in that time.  One of them is the ease with which information, both good and bad can be presented to us.

This particular blog is both a pleasure and an experiment.  I am using this blog as my exercise regimen to eventually make writing my career.  I’ve been a restaurant manager for the last two decades, and this is a major change of gears for me.  People close to me have always expressed that my writing is good.  This is my chance to put it all on the line for everyone to judge.
