Weekly Photo Challenge: Celebration
December 9, 2011 8 Comments
When this challenge came up, it was really easy to decide what I was going to feature. A big part of the reason my writing to this blog slowed down over the summer was in the picture above. My oldest daughter plays softball. This photo was taken after her team achieved their first ranking in a tournament. I could tell you a great story about how they took first place, but if you note the girl in the second row with two fingers. That isn’t a peace symbol, it is her pride in taking second place overall in the tournament. She is also my daughter.
The girls played hard all season, but this time was probably the biggest moment for them all and it showed on all of their faces. It showed on my face too, but hey someone has to be behind the camera to take the shot…of course no celebrating team is complete without its share of proud parent paparazzi too, so here is a bonus picture of the other side of this photo…this is how we parents celebrate…we fill up photo albums of these precious moments
