Weekly Photo Challenge: Ocean

When I saw this challenge, I was feeling like I would have nothing very good to contribute. Then I thought of a trip that was taken a very long time ago. 1996 to be exact. If you are doing some time machine calculations you will know that there were no consumer available digital cameras back then. I actually had to dig out a photo album and scan some pictures to fulfill the challenge this week. These were shot with a 110 point and shoot Kodak camera. I did my best to clean them up with my editing software, but over 15 years, and the quality of equipment used really limits what I could do with them.
Long walks on the beach were a part of this trip. It was the first time I had ever witnessed a body of water that I could not see the other side of. It was Florida, and it was my first view of the Atlantic ocean.
We weren’t alone on those walks, local wildlife was abundant. The birds were braver than I was facing down those waves.
This shot almost looks like a painting with how it has aged. Even back then, it would seem that I had a good eye at times for a well framed photo.
Nebraska Cornhusker fans are everywhere. Even in what was “enemy” territory back then. In those days the Florida teams gave us land lubbers fits during the football season. I thought it was amusing then how someone had claimed this stretch of beach in the name of the land of Nebraska.
Thanks for taking a step back with me in the time machine. Now I need to get the DeLorean back to Doc Brown before he notices it was missing…
